![]() ![]() There's another forum with slightly more information available (even the developer of IXT contributing) and I have asked this question there but no answer so far. Masking adjust while holding the alt key to remove sharpening from areas without detail and shadow areas. I also doubt that vignetting and Distortion correction are working as intended - the dng files apart from CA always have a slight vignetting compared to the raf even when the box is ticked in IXT, and distortion is hard to tell, I suppose the lens that I was testing with produces very little distortion anyway but basically there's no difference whether this option is turned on or off. Apply ‘Texture’ to areas in the image with high detail using a local adjustment. ACR (or Lightroom) does much better in this and the in-camera converter does even better obviously. What is your experience with the Lens Correction / Chromatic Aberration setting? In my testing it did not do much. I have also run some tests with x-t10 files and it seems that we are on the same page here. DJI has pared down this offering a bit with their latest sub-250g release, the Mini 3. While it boasted quite a few advanced features, it was accompanied by a hefty price tag. X-Transformer files are smaller, although people still expressed concern at how much bigger these are than the native RAF files. I believe that this is because it all embeds the original raw file as well as the demosiaced version. This is just a base starting point, prior to any further processing, but it makes a freshly converted X file look perfect. Earlier this year, DJI released the Mini 3 Pro. DNG files created by Enhance Details uses a lot more hard disk space than files created with X-Transformer. Please have a read, and let me know what you think! I think the results are wonderful, but would love to hear others opinions. I was searching everywhere for suggested settings, but it being such a new product I was unable to find any real direction. Some lossless compressed RAF files from early X-H2S firmware sporadically contain an invalid RAW metadata field that would would cause these files to fail to load. I did some rather rigorous testing over the past couple of days, to see if I can find an optimal starting point when working with Iridient + Lightroom. 2.5.1 - J(Maintenance Release) Bug Fix: Fixed an issue with errors on loading of some RAF images from the Fujifilm X-H2S. I may play around with the options on Iridient to see if I can make it do something that isn't in the Adobe DNG Converter, but for now my take on this is that Adobe DNG converter is free and faster so I see no advantage in the Iridient X-Transformer.I've just written up a new blog post here, outlining the settings I've worked out to get the most out of Iridient Digital's new X-Transformer conversion software. Since Adobe is a little faster, I think I will use it. Therefore, in this article, we will be comparing Lightroom and Capture One to see which is best for Fujifilm raw files. The Histograms between the two of them did not move. I went to the color option in Iridient and changed it from "Iridient V2" to "Adobe CC 2018." This made them identical. The Iridient files blues were a little lighter. There are two interpolation options, one for a more detailed. ![]() The only difference between the two is a blue element in the histogram moves slightly between the two. This processing is always applied by Iridient X-Transformer and cannot be disabled or undone. I took a few shots and converted them with both utilities. Adobe's converter seems about 24% faster. X-Trasformer gives you a lot of control, but much of it is redundant with Lightroom (though they do turn off Lightroom's mods that would have been applied for me). ![]() Adobe gives you no control over the conversation other than file naming. Since then I've been comparing the two raw converters. Since it was only $40, I picked up a copy and replaced Adobe's DNG converter with X-Transformer. When I posted here about this, I learned of the Iridient X-Transformer. My solution was to use Adobe's free DNG converter and import the DNGs into Lightroom. When I got an X-T3 I lost my ability to import RAF files into Lightroom 5.7. ![]()
